Death tapped speculatively on the microphone. Finding it in perfect condition, Death turned towards the audience.
THIS IS AN OC BATTLE CONTEST, said Death with the voice of a thousand death bells.
“Another one?!” cried those who were watching.
YES, ANOTHER ONE, answered Death, his voice like the creak of a coffin. OH, DON’T LOOK SO SHOCKED, YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT A LOT OF THESE SORT OF THINGS POP UP IN THE SUMMERTIME. NOW CUMMON, JOIN ALREADY.
“Yes, join”, said a voice in the shadows. “Death commands it. Join. JOIN NOW.”
The audience looked amongst themselves. Did they dare join? Did they dare compete in a contest of strength and skill?

OC BATTLE CONTEST
Yes! It’s another OCBC contest! Seeing as how *Niichts’s and *Evil-Jevil’s are doing so well, I’ve decided to throw in another one for all those people who didn’t get the chance to enter (and those who’ve lost in previous rounds).
For those who don’t know, the contest goes like this: you start by submitting an original character. After you get paired up with an opponent, you draw YOUR character defeating YOUR OPPONENT’S character. Person with the better entry goes to the next round.
DEADLINE
The deadline is July 20th, at 11:59:99 PM, Eastern Time. That should give people enough time to see there's an OC contest going.
RULES
You do not have to kill off your opponent to win. Though deaths are a common and acceptable reason for your opponent’s defeat, there are other ways to defeat your opponent. Like, a milk-drinking contest. Or a race. Or… thumb war.
1. 1.If you’ve decided to join, send me a note with a link to your OC’s profile (preferably a full body shot with color and description).
2. 2. No fan characters are allowed, as this is an OC contest.
3. 3. Only one OC per person. Sorry guys, but I want quality entries, and entering more than one OC would drive you nuttier than an acorn tree on meds.
4. 4. You’ll be paired up randomly. No exception, sorry. (Unless I change my mind in the future… ask me later.
)
5. 5. You can bring in another character in your entry, but it has to be your character that does the actual fighting.
6. 6. Nudity will induce glass shattering and computer meltdown. So PLEASE, no anything that will force me to claw out my eyes, m’kay?
JUDGING
Judging is mainly based off of two things: effort and creativity.
Effort- This is expressed in a variety of ways. If you are doing an art picture, then it’s the quality of the picture. If it’s a comic, then it’s the number of pages and amount of content you put in. If it’s an animation, then… its on a whole other scale. Also, we’ll factor in your skill level, so if some beginner artist gets paired up with a freaky good opponent, then you’ll still get a shot at winning. You will not win just because your comic is longer, however. I want effort, peoples, effort.
Creativity- I have seen ENOUGH of freaky powerful characters stabbing/slicing/disintegrating their opponent’s weakened-for-unknown-reasons OC in a single blow. I would like to see imagination, peoples, not something you thought up of in 3 seconds. You don’t have to make it creative, but know that you DO get extra points for it.
Other- Yes, there are other things that I will be looking for. But I won’t tell you. I’ll keep it a secret, just for myself.
